Having fun with silicon lollipop molds from Daiso. I'm not a terrible sweet tooth but these white chocolate lollies I've discovered can double as hot chocolate or coffee stirrers. White chocolate lends quite a nice layer of flavor to your morning brew.

Licensed software worth $19.90 will be given away to the first 20 people who leave a comment.The movie features Yu Aoi , my favorite J-actress. I found the movie to be visually delightful and tactile (Japanese films seem to have this signature characteristic) even if the story line is nothing extraordinary. I will watch this movie again for the extreme close-ups of raspberry macaron sandwiches and ethereal petit cakes.
You can watch the movie online here. It doesn't have an English translation, just Korean subtitles. Given my miniscule knowledge of hangul, I did manage to understand the movie.

I wonder if you have tried the Black Forest Frozen Dessert recipe I included in my valentine newsletter? If you haven't yet, well this is how it looks. I used the brown sugar brownie recipe for the cake base. White sugar is white death and I try to avoid it every chance I get. The result is a mildly sweet cake spiked with the flavors or rum and cherries.
No need to use a fancy silicon heart shaped cake mold or anything to make this cake. A regular springform mini cake pan would work pretty well.

I can never have too many brownie recipes! This particular recipe is wonderful and of course tastes even better when frosted with something as yummy as caramel. I look forward to making another batch smoothered with Dulce de Leche, using Jojoebi's recipe and method. Also try my favorite brownie recipe .
PERFECT MOIST BROWNIES
2 (1 oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts, optional
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and beat well. Blend in melted chocolate, vanilla, and flour. Mix in nuts if desired and pour batter into a greased, 8 x 8 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Do not overbake!
Caramel Frosting
2 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons milk
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, and mix in 3 tablespoons milk and brown sugar. Boil vigorously for 1 minute.
Remove from heat, and beat in 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar. Cool slightly, and beat in the vanilla and remaining 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar. Add more milk if the mixture is too thick.
