Today's sponsor is Flirtbuttons, an ETSY shop that offers a wide array of whimsical handmade pocket mirrors, magnets, pinback buttons, bottle openers, belt buckles, paper clips, jewelry, hair accessory, rubber stamps and tags.
Flirtbuttons is run by Sharon, a textile designer based in Woodstock, Georgia. She has always loved making buttons and this is what she says when asked about what inspired her to create her ETSY shop:
I wanted a button maker since I was in elementary school. So in June of 2008 I took my birthday money and bought a professional machine. I now make pinback buttons, pocket mirrors, bottle openers, belt buckles and magnets. All are 2.25 inches. The first machine was so successful that I bought a one inch machine and make magnets, buttons, pendants, earrings, bobby pins, jumbo paper clips, rings and bracelets from it. I cover most of them in fabric, but some are designs on paper. The main point of Flirtbuttons is to have fun. I love quirky, cute and fun things in abundance.
Sharon's background in Fine Arts and her Masters of Science in Textile Design has proved very useful in helping her create new product designs for her shop. She has just designed her own fabric line which she uses for some of her pocket mirrors and magnets.
To date, the shop's top sellers are the organza wrapped black and white damask pocket mirrors that clients order by the hundreds as wedding favors. Her all time top selling bottle opener is Alice in Wonderland Drink Me! Browse the shop to see all the designs that suit any mood,occasion or celebration!
