Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie

Craving for chocolate chip cookie but don't have time to make some from scratch? A skillet baked chocolate chip cookie that you can whip in 10 minutes flat is the answer! The recipe is adapted from Martha Stewart's Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe. I prefer my cookie crunchy instead of gooey so I extend the baking time for 10 minutes or so.

Ingredients:
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp coarse sea salt

Directions:

1. Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and blend well.
2. Add vanilla extract.
3. In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour with baking soda and salt.
4. Add flour mixture to creamed butter mixture.
5. Gently spoon cookie dough to a 10-inch cast iron skillet.
6. Bake in a 350F oven for 20 minutes for a gooey texture. Extend baking time if you want a crunchy cookie.
