My first knitting project

by - Saturday, December 08, 2018

I´ve always wanted to learn how to knit so imagine my delight when a knitting workshop came my way. I didn't exactly learn how to knit in two hours but it sure planted in me the will  and enthusiasm to learn the basics via YouTube, knitting books and extra informative websites like Love Knitting, Craft Yarn Council and Wool and the Gang. I especially love this learn to knit guide from Do You Sew.  It has lots of easy to understand videos, perfect for newbie  knitters like myself.

This garter stitch scarf from Knitting 101 is the first project in the book and readily the simplest scarf one can ever knit. After a few mishaps and tangly loops, I finally found my rhythm and finally finished this salmon pink scarf just in time for a winter break overseas.

I look forward to knit more simple projects until I slowly but surely move up to more complicated patterns. Wish me luck and patience!
