Isn't that the sweetest, charming-est looking dolly? It's a Bunka-style doll designed by the über talented Jhoanna of One Red Robin.

As Jhoanna explains, a Bunka  is a traditional Japanese doll popular  back in the 1950s and 1960s. As a cultural doll of sorts, a Bunka is made in a very specific way. Bunkas often wear a bonnet and a one piece dress. Learn how to make this charming doll with One Red Robin's Bunka-style doll tutorial (free pattern is included too). If you're on the softie making mood check Jhoanna's softie making blog. It's a awesome, one stop resource for everything softie and plushie. There are enough softie making projects to keep you busy all year long.

Happy weekend!
