Please keep my country, the Philippines in your thoughts and prayers during these very difficult times. Typhoon Ondoy (international name: Ketsana) dumped 455 millimeters of rain in 24 hours in Metro Manila last September 26-27, 2009 resulting to an epic deluge that left hundreds of people dead and half a million people affected. The amount of rain that placed Metro Manila underwater was twice the amount of rain that Hurricane Katrina dumped in New Orleans.

The tragedy has rendered many people homeless and desperate. Children, women and the elderly are especially vulnerable and helpless. To see the extent of the damage that Typhoon Ondoy has caused, please view the video here.

I appeal to people with golden and kind hearts to help ease the suffering of the flood victims by helping donate to the Philippine Red Cross or to the World Food Programme. Thank you in advance and may God repay you a hundredfolds. Retweets of this post are very much appreciated.
