Inspiration from Elsita

I've always adored Elsa Mora's artistic genius. Her art, creativity and view of life definitely comes from a rarefied, higher plane of existence and it is pure joy to see her share so much of her world in her very inspiring blog Elsita.

This needlework project which I titled "Gift of the Cherry Tree" is Elsita's free embroidery pattern from her blog. Visit Elsita blog today and be very, very inspired.

I know, it's not very easy to be inspired everyday and to create a bit of handiwork magic on a day to day basis. Heck, there's lots of chores to do, bread and butter to be made and plain fatigue can just set in. However doing what you really enjoy is a balm to the stress of everyday living. I've also learned that inspiration is not something that falls from the sky. Rather it is something that is actively sought.

For inspiration, daily Notes from the Universe have always recharged me. I receive a note in my inbox every night! I'm sharing one of my favourite notes with you:

If you just whistle every now and then, christy; skip every thousandth step or so; skim the odd stone across the odd pond; go dancing on the occasional blue moon, if only alone in the dark; dress up sometimes, even with nowhere to go... for simply stirring up some little bit of hope, no matter how silly or disconnected your actions seem to be with the rest of the world, magic flashes in the unseen, friends are summoned, connections are timed, stars are aligned, opportunities are crystallized and serendipities are calculated, creating possibilities for new realities that cannot now even be imagined from where you presently stand.
